FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in the Spanish league 30 months after they moved out so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees can be present under the licence granted. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned approval is being pursued by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht in December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
