Homages Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt able to share openly about his profound loss.

"Enough time has gone by that I can finally articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the production, adding that he could not remember "one day without mirth".

"The movie is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate piece, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles judge agreed to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order issued a restriction on the investigation to limit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a public database listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the tragedy, public figures shared varying responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing controversial remarks that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the critics recently. Talking on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "disappointing" and remarked they showed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an aide could have acted when the impulse to weigh in on the death was made.
